Jim Ewing is Managing Partner and Founder of Bantry Holdings and Bantry Investors. Mr. Ewing is directly responsible for the acquisition, investment management, property management and strategic planning of the company’s real estate investments. In the past four years, Bantry has acquired over 1 million square feet of office, industrial and apartment buildings valued in excess of $250 Million. He provides guidance and leadership to generate superior, risk-adjusted returns for Partners through the identification, acquisition and highly focused investment management of real estate assets with significant value enhancement potential.

Previously, Mr. Ewing was President and Chief Operating Officer of Charles Dunn Company, Partner and President of Seeley-Ewing Partners and Managing Director of the Western Region for The Koll Company. He also served as President of the greater Los Angeles Region of Koll. Mr. Ewing was responsible for the supervision of all property management, facility management, and brokerage activities of greater Southern and Northern California, comprising approximately 28 million square feet. He supervised a staff of over 100 senior level vice presidents, management personnel, brokerage executives, associates, and research teams.

Mr. Ewing graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor degree in Business and Economics and later did graduate work in business and economics at the University of Southern California.

Mr. Ewing is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and member of the Los Angeles Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. He served as 1993 and 1994 Chairman and President of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Los Angeles. He is a member of the BOMA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and a member of the Board of Governors of BOMA International. Mr. Ewing was General Chairman of the BOMA Pacific Southwest Regional Conference and President of the Los Angeles Chapter of Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He currently serves as a Director of the IREM Scholarship Foundation, and is a committee member of Californians for Fair Rent Laws.

Mr. Ewing is a member of the Board of Directors of The St. Vincent Foundation, which supports St. Vincent Medical Center, and the efforts of the Daughters of Charity. He also serves on the Audit and Finance Board for the St. Vincent Medical Center. He is formerly a member the Board of Directors and President of Legatus, a “one-of-a-kind” international organization of CEO’s, corporate directors, officers and business owners. Mr. Ewing formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Seraphim Realty Foundation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation organized and operated as a “supporting organization” to support the activities of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles. He is a member of the Executive Committee of The Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Los Angeles, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, the Del Mar Turf Club, the Jonathan Club and San Gabriel Country Club. Mr. Ewing resides in Pasadena with his wife, Michael Ann and his son Chris.
